The Rio Vita shower filter is manufactured with 100 % KDF 55 (U.S. Patent 4,642,192) to effectively remove chlorine from the shower water. This pure dechlorinated water from the Rio Vita shower filter leaves skin and hair softer and protects the body from future damage. Colour-treated hair does not rapidly fade and eyes will be less irritated, when using the Rio Vita shower filter.
More importantly, the Rio Vita shower filter prevents the skin from ingesting the vapourized toxins emitted from a steaming shower. In addition, the Rio Vita shower filter has a convenient shut-off valve feature which allows the user to reduce the water flow, the unique Rio Vita shower filter helps protect our environment's most precious resource - water.
The Rio Vita shower filter contains a bacteriostatic patented media, KDF 55 which has been laboratory tested to drastically reduce or effectively remove: chlorine, lead, barium, cadmium, chromium, selenium, mercury, iron and other metals that may be present in the water. KDF is listed under NSF standard 61 (Health Effects) for water treatment plant applications.
The beauty of the Rio Vita shower filter is it's built-in reminder light that lets you know when it is time to replace the filter cartridge. The Rio Vita shower filter cartridge is typically replaced every 10,000 gallons of water (38,750 litres), approximately 6 months for 2 people under normal conditions. Each replacement shower filter cartridge includes battery for LED indicator light.
The Rio Vita shower filter is warranted by the manufacturer to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from the date of original purchase, provided the Rio Vita shower filter is used and cared for in accordance with the printed instructions received with the system.
