The co-founders of Naturally Empowered™ are Dr. Kathy Graham N.D. and William Graham.

 

Dr. Kathy Graham N.D.

Dr. Kathy Graham is a naturopathic physician in private practice. She has been practicing naturopathic medicine since 1993 and has had the privilege of observing many patients become well and thrive. She has helped empower people to heal themselves of a wide variety of health challenges and illnesses. These patients include those who were interested in preventive health, those who were interested in addressing the root cause of their disease, as well as those who used her services as a “last hope” effort.

Prior to becoming a naturopathic doctor, she worked as a registered nurse for ten years in critical care areas including Emergency, ICU, CCU, neonatal ICU and paediatrics. At this time she also taught critical care neurological nursing at the post-graduate level at Conestoga College.

She states: “Working in the hospital, I saw both the wonders and the pitfalls of conventional medicine. I chose to enter a more holistic field of healthcare called naturopathic medicine because I was interested in seeing people get well, stay well and prevent the types of conditions I was seeing in my hospital experiences”.

She obtained her pre-med studies from the University of Waterloo. In 1993 she graduated at the top of her class from the four-year program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Dr. Graham has also received awards for excellence in acupuncture, botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, clinical nutrition and diagnostic skills; all skills which she continues to develop within her practice.

When asked what her greatest accomplishments have been, Kathy says: “That’s easy. The first is the opportunity to have nurtured and raised two beautiful daughters. The second is my ongoing and passionate desire for personal growth, and my continual process of learning how to love, be happy and healthy”.

William Graham

William Graham is the clinic manager and diagnostic technician at the naturopathic clinic. He and Dr. Kathy Graham work closely together in the clinic as well as in married life.

In 1993 he graduated from Kikkawa College in Toronto after completing a two-year Shiatsu massage program. Along with Shiatsu massage, he practised craniosacral therapy for six years.

Prior to his experience in the healthcare field, William worked in the production, marketing and sales industry for over 20 years. He has chosen to combine these two fields and bring these talents to Naturally Empowered™.

When asked what his passions are, Bill says: “Connecting with nature, my family and living a vibrant and healthy life”.
